I’ve noticed a significant performance issue when using Ghostery 10.4.26 with Safari 18.3 on macOS Sequoia 15.3.1. When installed, Safari becomes noticeably slow and laggy, even on basic tasks. To investigate, I uninstalled both Ghostery 10.4.26 and Wipr 2, and tested them individually. The results were striking: Wipr 2 delivered a faster, snappier browsing experience, outperforming Ghostery by a wide margin.
When Ghostery was reinstalled, Safari became sluggish again. Wipr 2 remains faster, more responsive, and smoother overall, with no noticeable lag.
Can Ghostery optimize its performance to match Wipr 2's speed and responsiveness? This is a crucial area for improvement if Ghostery aims to maintain its competitive edge.

Thank you for sharing your investigation and interest towards our product. Unfortunately, I couldn't see slowdown with our extension on exactly same softwares with M1. I didn't feel anything on basics, so I went to speedometer to check if the results have a huge gap.
I'd like to hear more about your environment (like screenshots or any kind of media for better understanding) to understand the problem better.
