IEDA is using the funder pattern...
<http://schema.org/funder> <http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/100000085> .
However, https://schema.org/funder should point to an organization or person set of triples. Not a URI.
Also, in some case they have defined funder as
<https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=1536331&HistoricalAwards=false> <http://schema.org/funder> <Crossref Funder ID:http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/100000001> .
Which is also not valid. Both in URI format and in the use of funder (if the converted this to a literal string)
