Description:

Currently, the rightsHolder field is visible on individual occurrence pages, but there is no way to see a summary of all rights holders for a dataset directly on its landing page. This means that if a dataset contains records from multiple rights holders, users have to explore occurrence records one by one or download the dataset to see the full picture.

For example, in the dataset Arealrepresentativ naturovervåkning (ANO), occurrences specify ‘Miljødirektoratet VAL/VMM’ as the rights holder, but this information is fragmented at the occurrence level. There is no overview listing all rights holders at the dataset level.

Proposed Improvement
• Display a summary of all unique rightsHolders on the dataset landing page, possibly in the Metadata section or as a separate field.
• If there are multiple rights holders, show a structured list (or an indication that multiple entities are involved).

Justification
• Improves discoverability by allowing users to quickly see which organizations hold rights to the dataset.
• Enhances attribution for contributing entities.
• Avoids unnecessary data downloads just to determine rights holders.

This would make it easier to track and acknowledge data ownership while maintaining transparency.

Thanks for considering this improvement!
