The nice thing about the hosted portal and the GBIF portal is that all filters are stored in the URL - so it's easy to send search results to colleagues by copying the URL from the browser. But many users are not aware of this, since they don't keep an eye on the address bar of the browser. So it would be nice to include a "Share" button/symbol with a mailto: link with an appropriate subject and the current URL in the body.

The most natural place for such functionality I can come up with be the nav bar.

The plan is to add other small icons there with stable cross page functionalities. Like: API access, citation info, faq. A share icon could be added there as well.

Or maybe below, next to the filters - to make clear that the link contains all set filters?
