Open up auth support for other IDPs #308
Description
At the moment the default setup is tied to use Cognito as the default identity provider. One way to extend this would be to support arbitrary IDPs or alternatively make use of already existing Cognito user pools to begin with. Opening up the support for an already existing Cognito pool is probably easier to achieve first but less versatile.
