Take a look at the newt readme. It actually saves a config.json file to
your home dir and it can pick that back up when running it again
Hopefully that helps.
But to update you just would download the latest binary and replace it
and restart. :]

Dear community,
I'm trying to do something, but I can't get it to work. How can I upgrade newt when it's running as a native installation on Alpine Linux? I have an RC service running that references my newt file in the HOME directory. If I reinstall it completely, then secret, id, and endpoint will be lost.
Thanks in advance.
