For almost 10 months now, when starting Selenium from VBA I will get following Error Message:
-2146233088 System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception
Line 80 in ProcessExt.cs
Access denied
(Windows10, Office 365, 64 bit)

But starting from VBScript, it works.

Could be anything done to get Seleniumbasic running again from VBA?

It works for me in Windows 11, Office 365, 64 bit. Did you upgrade Office from 32 bit to 64 bit recently? Have you tried uninstall/reinstall SeleniumBasic? Sorry that's all I can think of...

Hello Mike, Thank you for your reply. I uninstalled and installed SeleniumBasic several times with and without Admin rights. With help of the company Admin I figured out, there was/is a problem to read the EventLogs 'Security' and 'State'. 'Die Quelle wurde nicht gefunden, 'aber einige oder alle Ereignisprotokolle konnten nicht durchsucht werden. 'Protokolle, auf die kein Zugriff möglich war: Security, State. The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. Inaccessible logs: Security, State. The company Admin managed to give access to 'Security' by changing the registry (Read-permission for Network_service), but for unknown reason 'State' is not changeable even for the company Admin. So after that 'State' is still not accessible: 'Die Quelle wurde nicht gefunden, 'aber einige oder alle Ereignisprotokolle konnten nicht durchsucht werden. 'Protokolle, auf die kein Zugriff möglich war: State. The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. Inaccessible logs: State. Finally I figured out the reason:
Windows Defender Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) prevents Office 365 applications (at least in our company) from starting new processes. Shell commands also do not work if called from VBA.

@jjbs Did you solve this? I found the same issue right now. I'm not the admin of this computer. I think there could be some company security policy was changed.
