The Issue

The Secret portal behavior outside of a sandbox is undocumented, and it can be interpreted that it will not work. This is not the case.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Utilize the Secret portal on the host system in two separate processes
  2. Compare the results, you will find that the keys are the same
  3. Do the same with two separate Flatpak applications, and the keys will be different

Anything else we should know?

#1521 may be relevant here.
