I am running Signal-Desktop as a flatpak on Mandriva linux, but this issue affected this same machine/db on KDE Neon in the past.
It takes HOURS to download messages when starting up, and once those messages are downloaded, it will demonstrate a serious delay behind my cell phone when getting new messages. Sometimes this delay can take minutes.
The sqlite db is on a fairly modern SSD, not sure what is causing the performance issues. Is anyone else running into this? What information is needed for troubleshooting?

Really would like to know what to do to begin troubleshooting this. I start my computer, work 10 hours and at the end of the day when it's time to turn the machine off, it's still downloading messages from the day prior. I'd like to not have to keep my computer on 24x7 in order to use this. I am a heavy user, 1000+ messages a day
