The iframe switcher deserves its own button

Currently the iframe switcher can be accessed through "Tools" > "Select an iframe [...]" > "<iframe>".

I think it is a feature that is important enough to deserve its own button. Note that it will be on by default with https://bugzil.la/1059882, so this issue is not urgent.

Note that there actually is an extra button for the feature (try e.g.the Light theme). The problem is that there is not much space on the toolbar (marked as visible in the Options panel), but perhaps we can do exactly the same as the Light theme does. Just not to forget that we have the search box in place (which is not in the Light theme , yet...)

True. Though in my example, I have a 24" screen. I really have enough space for it.

How about a splitter at the right of the search field, so we can group/ungroup buttons in/from the "tools" button according to the space allocated by the user?

@fflorent agreed - works for me now, but the frame switcher feels it needs to live at the top level - it's just too useful. FYI on the devtools side we're going to enable this tool by default once we have some follow-up bugs addressed.

I think that we could actually keep the toolbox-buttons as is (not hide it). It's nicely configurable from the Options panel and so, it's up to the user how many buttons are visible in the toolbar.

So you suggest to ungroup everything inside the "Tools" button?

I suggest to unhide the toolbox-buttons group in the toolbar (see toolbox.css at the top) and move the search box, so these buttons are on the right side of the searchbox. Consequently remove the Tools menu entirely.

FWIW, I rather liked the idea of a tools menu, for the reason alone that it provides discoverability.

I am not sure about this. And I think it removes usability of these

I like it too, but how would you solve the problem with the frame-switcher button being useful as a button on the toolbar?

Probably move only that button out into the toolbar. But I haven't thought about this at all (and it's UI!); I just wanted to get my general feeling across.
