Better background

I'm pretty sure we could add a better background and even better, an animated background (with rain falling or an animated fire)!
We could even think of foregrounds, like a torch or a plant.

Would it be possible to replace the background with a video? Or better yet, could be a layered canvas.

What support requirements does this project have? (if any)

I think a video could be too "expensive" for users to download, but a layered canvas or svg would work perfectly!
Specially if we could match it with #1
The requirement are for it to work on modern browsers...no worries! We should have fun developing it too, no only playing it! :)

Cool, sure :)
We could use of a background animation. Let's say, perhaps a fire on a torch in the background, a rain falling through a window or even some fog.
You can use your creativity and be inspired by street fighter or mortal kombat backgrounds, for example.
