The ReplaceByPatternServlet treats it wrong when the user enters for replacement all the same value as the one to be replaced.

  • Additionally:
    In such a case when a property containing the value in question is actually not found, the servlet resturns HTTP status 204 which is semantically incorrect. A "not found" status must be one of 4xx, and not one of 2xx --Success
