Let me start off with a compliment. We love ethers.js, good work!
So, as a blockchain development company, we feel like there are quite some things missing in the current ethereum developer tools. In short, you could say this results in mediocre dev experiences, a lot of time redeveloping similar (higher level) solutions and an unnecessarily hard experience for new developers that need to learn everything at once if they're to start well.
That's, why we've internally created an opinionated "web3-SDK", which amongst other great tooling is built on top of ethers.js.
We'd like to open source this project, make it way better, and have others benefit from it.
That's why we've begun talks with the Ethereum Foundation for a grant, so far things seem positive.
Would you be willing to have a short chat with us? (15-30min) Or just give feedback here, or on our Github in due time?
We'd love to hear your opinion about our vision, idea, and the ecosystem in general.
This will be phrased better later on but for now, you could phrase our vision for the SDK as: Web3-SDK will be a flexible kit for developing DApps, smart contracts, and related services like The Graph. The goal is to simplify frequent and complex challenges in Web3 development, like wallet connections, smart contract integrations, and transaction management.
You can find more info on our github, as we finalize our grant application in the coming days, more info will be moved onto GitHub from our notion.
Also, if other developers would like to share their experiences or contribute in any way, hit me up!
