possible to send ping frames as part of connection pool management for http2?

I'm trying to implement behavior similar to a go implementation of an api wrapper for a service.

golang's http2 client supports using ping frames as a health check mechanism -- for keeping a connection alive even if it has little or no traffic going over it while still detecting dead connections.

Is something like this possible with httpx?
