Only Jitsi calls started in DM rooms as of 1.5.11

Steps to reproduce

1. As of the upgrade to 1.5.11, all video/audio calls in DM rooms use Jitsi, which is a sub-par experience to 1:1 calls. Downgrading to 1.5.10 fixes this. All DM rooms affected.

Prior to downgrading, I tried clearing cache/disabling labs to no avail.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Upgrade to 1.5.11 (I use fdroid version, unsure if gplay is affected)
2. Try to make an audio call in a DM

Same on 1.5.12. Might be related to the fact that number of persons in the room is not recognized to be 2 ... room info says "0 persons".

Yep, this happened to me too, and the 1.5.10 has no such issue.
I thought it was my problem. And unable to do a normal call rather than a meeting call is very stupid.

Same here on 1.5.11.
I've noticed that in all DM rooms the number of participants is shown as 0 instead of 2. This maybe is what triggers this issue?!
After reinstalling the app(also clearing data) it now works fine - so I guess it is (yet another) local data left in a bad/corrupt state after an update! This did not happen to my friend's phone after the update.

Temporary workaround:
Enable or disable "threaded messages" in "Labs" to make the app restart automatically, kill the app quickly during the splash screen (my phone can kill the app with a long press of the back button to buy time), and finally launch the app manually.

This happens randomly, I have not found a pattern yet.

This is happening to me all the way up until 1.5.14 installed from GitHub release just now. I have to go all the way back to 1.5.8 to get working behaviour, where people show more than 0 in all rooms and I can start 1:1 calls.

tried create a new room and works normal now. But old rooms remain the same.
I genuinely think this is stupid.
