How do I effectively remove projects that I have imported via the "Oomph Catalog"?

... I vaguely remember discussing this a few months/years ago with @merks and I remember that there was some trick to let Oomph "forget" some (un)installed project. I just can't find the answer anymore, so I decided to ask again in the official channels. Sorry Ed if I make you answer the same thing twice😅 (I'll bookmark this answer, promise 😄)

I would like to know how can I remove the projects that I imported into my WS via File > Import > Oomph > Projects from Catalog in a way that I can choose to import them again in the future (again, via the Oomph Catalog).

If I merely remove them and delete them from my disk, I still can't choose to import them again later because the Oomph Catalog says that I already have them. Take EGit as an example: I already removed the repositories and deleted the contents from my disk (and the projects went away ✅ ), but Oomph says I still have it ❌ :

If I understood it right, you want: Navigate -> Open Setup -> Workspace -> remove XYZ.

Yes, all project streams are recorded there. The restrictions section doesn't matter; those are just variables whose values are saved, so if you remove the stream they are simply used.
