Debug perspective switches when a key or button is pressed

Build the project and launch the debug session

• Under Window ; Perspective ; Customize Perspective
• Choose which items to display in the Debug Session
• Click on Apply and Close
• Under Window ; Perspective ; Save Perspective as ; Name: [New_Debug_Config]
• Close the Debug session and reopen it
• Under Window ; Perspective ; Open Perspective ; Other
• Click on New_Debug_Config and tap F5

Found Result

• The new perspective recently created is switched to the default Debug
  configuration

Expected Behavior

• The new debug perspective should remain when a key or button is pressed

Please check your preferences here:

By default the Debug perspective is opened with a prompt on suspend, and not on launch. However if you (or the reseller you got CDT from if not directly from Eclipse) changed the defaults other things could happen, such as automatically switching.

If you want multiple perspectives for different types of debug sessions, this preference window can be used to associate types of launches with specific perspectives.
