I think that'd be a good idea. I'm working on a rewrite in a proper language to fix some performance, style, and quality issues, so not sure if I want to package it before that's done though.

Rewrite is good enough now, but I wonder if it would work as a flatpak. Xdg-desktop-portal was created as a native application that flatpak-sandboxed programs can use to select files for them, so as an xdg-desktop-portal backend itself, pikeru has to not be sandboxed.
