Overview

This page describes the process to back up an entire DS instance which includes all databases in it.

Backup Procedure

Make sure the server is stopped while creating a backup:

$ systemctl stop [email protected]

To back up DS instance:

$ tar czvf slapd-localhost.tar.gz -C / \
    etc/dirsrv/slapd-localhost \
    etc/dirsrv/ssca \
    etc/sysconfig/dirsrv-localhost \
    var/lib/dirsrv/slapd-localhost \
    var/log/dirsrv/slapd-localhost
