Currently on OSX Tiger PPC SDL_Init fails with "Unsupported video mode".
SDL_Init
To fix this, we need to update SDL-1.2 (https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/devel/libsdl12/Portfile) to the latest version, which includes libsdl-org/SDL-1.2@61074e0 (libsdl-org/SDL-1.2#888 libsdl-org/SDL-1.2#889)
