CETAS vs Copy activity ?

Hi, 

Thanks for your very useful tools about Synapse Serverless pool, it's not easy to find good information about it !
I'm wondering what are the reasons to use the stored proc + CETAS approach instead of writing the query as the source of a copy activity in a pipeline.

Are you aware of functional, performance, cost differences between those two alternatives ?
