Pipeline 2 v1.15.2 (App version 1.9.0) released

Version 1.15.2 of DAISY Pipeline 2 (App version 1.9.0) is now available for download! The following alternative packages are proposed:

• for Windows users: the desktop app installer (exe file, 226 MB)
• for Mac OS X users: the desktop app installer (pkg file, 258 MB)
• for Debian/Ubuntu users: the Debian package (deb file, 123 MB)
• for other Linux users: the zip package (zip file, 130 MB)
• there is also the Docker image

The look and feel of the desktop application was revamped. Furthermore, this version features support for the Amazon Polly speech engine, and for Google Chirp voices. Metadata handling was improved in the DTBook to eBraille script, and there is now synchronization between renditions when original text is included. Also worth mentioning is that the web API now supports POST/PUT requests through query strings, as an alternative to XML.
