Back in mid-February of 2013, cplusplus.com user @naraku9333 suggested that the community start a chess game project. The original post was a tangent to the thread, so a couple days later a new thread was started by user @Zereo to discuss. After some inactivity, user @ScriptCoder started yet another thread to ask about the status of the project. It was then that user @LB-- began to take part in the project, leading to a status update thread. The project members have been growing ever since.
