which file in the project generates the pages for categories?

Description

Recently decided to use chirpy for my personal site as well.
I created a collection _projects and was able to make things work, I even modified the Trending section at right panel & Categories page to show categories from _posts & _projects

but I'm unable to figure out how every category gets a dedicated page, example -

and even though I'm able to make the site show the categories from _projects, because those pages aren't generated I'm facing htmlproofer errors in production.
can anyone help please?

Operations you have already tried

tried to change _layouts/category & _layouts/categories
couldn't make it work.

Anything else?

So as of my research anything other than _posts doesn't support categories and tags.

Trying to learn about liquid more so I can filter posts and projects with a type frontmatter and show both types in different pages

so it works now, repo - SoumyaK4
but this way of doing it breaks pagination, so I had to remove/increase paginate(well I always set it to 100 in other projects as well XD)
