HOW-TO: retrieve the a job definition as a dict

I cannot find on the docs how to do the equivalent to deploy jobs::get. I am trying to augment the alerts with some job definition information, so I need it as a dict to copy elements on other dict.

is this possible? If it is the docs are not clear enough.
