We have now deferred the script. There has been no new release for over a year and no commits for several months. We suspect that it is “dead” or is no longer really being maintained. It is therefore difficult (from a security point of view) to decide whether to take it up. If the project becomes active again, please mention it again in this post.

@kelson42 @rgaudin As @tremor021 already pointed out; With over 300 Scripts, we can't manage to build such in depht functions, just to cover one script, becausee they rather wanna publish on their own website.

We have experimented with such things and it always ended in problems for the user due to binaries not being uploaded at the right time etc.
Also that's nice that there is a feed, but building such scapers just for a single script makes no sense.

Either there is a more up-to-date version on debian repos we can use, a custom apt source to add or direct built releases we can fetch from github and filter via github api.

We have also a PPA https://launchpad.net/~kiwixteam/+archive/ubuntu/release, maybe this helps.

But otherwise I guess you will have to wait to Debian or close as WONTFIX.

There is nothing against Ubuntu, where it is clearly recommended or only available as Ubuntu, we also use Ubuntu. Debian is my personal way of life because I always found the OS a bit smarter.
