👋 Maintainer of Docksentry here (the tool in @LeeNX's screenshot) — +1, with some downstream context for why this small label matters:

Update managers / dashboards read org.opencontainers.image.version to tell users which version they're running and to show a meaningful v_old → v_new when an update is available. Without it, cloudflared surfaces only as an opaque image hash + build date — you can't tell one release from the next at a glance, whereas every image that sets the label reads cleanly.

It's a one-line addition at build time. For reference, here's exactly how we wire it — feel free to copy:

ARG VERSION=dev
LABEL org.opencontainers.image.version="${VERSION}"

# release build (GitHub Actions buildx) — pass the tag through:
build-args: |
  VERSION=${{ github.ref_name }}

(or docker buildx build --label org.opencontainers.image.version=$VERSION …). It's a pre-defined OCI annotation key.
