first i gotta say nice work! been looking for SMB3 NEAT Setup

tried your setup for SMB3 and its actually working until a part that i dont understand

i cant figure out why mario doesnt keep on running and why the stage\level is reseting.

Hey Moron-bit, thanks for checking out the NEAT setup. Some things:

thats a bug I have yet to figure out- the RAM specifications I found for "xpos" in "data.json" is used to update fitness and supposedly increases as Mario moves to the right. I believe the bug is occurring here as the particular variable is not the actual xpos. The code is ending in your video partly due to a constraint I have in the code where it will terminate when the fitness isn't updated for approximately 150 frames. So I believe the incorrect xpos and the frame constraint is ending the run. You can also try to update the stopping criteria in the "feedforward.txt" to be increased.

Sorry about the code- it is relatively buggy and I mainly used GH to transfer from my PC to my old Macbook to run the code overnight (save power)

hey thx for the quick answer, and i dont care that the code is not perfect

its actually making it more intersting, since im learning more and more about all of these stuff.

ill try to tweak it, im not that experienced yet though, but if ill get it to work ill update!
