in some nlds commands -j is used on its own to output results as JSON but in others you need to specify True or False

-j on its own:

nlds find
nlds list
nlds meta
nlds stat

specify True or False:

nlds get
nlds getlist
nlds put
nlds putlist

This is a problem with the nlds client.
