This is a utility to list or modify the SheevaPlug u-boot environment.
Quite a bit of error checking occurs when the program runs, so it should be relatively safe.
When you use "plugenv -e" it will open the current environment with vi (or any other editor
if the EDITOR environment variable is set). It will only update the uboot-env if you write
changes with your editor, otherwise no write to nand occurs.
"plugenv -l" will list the current uboot-env. If this command runs properly on your plug
then you can pretty comfortable that a uboot-env write will succeed.
plugenv calls mtd-utils programs, keep in mind that bugs in mtd-utils certainly could
cause problems. I have tested versions 1.4.4 to 1.4.9.
plugenv currently verifies that it is on a SheevaPlug by reading /proc/cpuinfo. If you
find that you can get it to run on the "SheevaPlug like" plugs please send patches to
cbxbiker61-AT-gmail-DOT-com. You will probably have to patch the section of code that looks
for "SheevaPlug" in /proc/cpuinfo.
Read COPYING for licensing info.
