Hi,

Thanks for the very nice guide. When I was trying to install Ubuntu 16.04 on the Alienware 15 R3, it gives me an error message "Unable to install GRUB in /dev/nvme0n1" that says "Executing 'grub-install /dev/nvme0n1' failed. This is a fatal error.".

This is when the installation procedure was 'Running "grub-install /dev/nvme0n1'. Do you know if there is away to overcome this problem? Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks.

My first guess is that it may be related to: https://github.com/awesomebytes/alienware15r3_ubuntu14#add-to-the-bootable-pendrive-the-latest-gparted-version-024-and-a-couple-of-things-more

Gparted comes with some libs to manage nvme disks. At least without it I could not even see the disk!

Otherwise, maybe GRUB of Ubuntu 16.04 needs something special to drive on nvme disks?

Or also, did you disable anything related to secure boot or RAID on the disk?

That's what comes to my mind. Good luck!
