+# How to Start Python REPL
+
+## On Mac
+
+1. Download and install [iTerm2](/software/iterm2)
+2. Open up iTerm
+3. Type `python` (or `python3`) to start the Python REPL
+   a. **NOTE**: If you type `python` in the terminal and it doesn't work, type `python3` instead. Python `3.8.x` is installed by default with recent versions of MacOS.
+
+Other (newer) versions of Python can be installed via Homebrew.
