Inspired by a tweet, I wrote up the answer to what I (and @adrn, I believe) think is a common scientific use case for astropy.coordinates, but with some important non-obvious subtlties: combined modeling of parallax and proper motion. The notebook is here: https://gist.github.com/eteq/a8be41d346f6e870fe7af8b8625fab70 . That's probably not quite suitable to be a tutorial as it stands (too terse?), but with a bit of massaging it might be useful. In particular it could be a coordinates tutorial part 3 (following on @eblur's updates splitting up the coordinates tutorials in #179)... What do you think @eblur and/or @kelle ?
