curious about the layout of this repo....

I was referred to your repo from a colleague of mine who spoke very highly of you. The main thing i question is having both your prod and staging environments in one repo, while also having embedded modules. Would it not be better to have one repo, your modules in separate repos, and both prod and staging using this repo while leveraging workspaces and pulling modules from their own repos (even better, using a registry)? I'm sure you have reasons for doing it this way, just curious as to what they are. Thanks for entertaining me, hope you're well.
