Why Go and not Python ?

Hello, I started recently using your tool and it is very helpful !
I saw that the roadmap is to migrate to Go language but I am unable to see any real benefits of using Go instead of Python.

Python is widely used and installed on almost any *nix distribution. It also has tons of libraries for writing interactive CLI interfaces such as argparse, click, docopt, pyinquirer, curses and others.

Another benefit of using python is that you can easily edit and do some hacking without having to have Go compiler and so on.

My guess is because Kubernetes is written in Go.

Many reasons.

• I don't know Python well.
• The libraries to do the work I am doing are better available and maintained in Go.
• Python is not preinstalled in Windows, and Python is being deprecated from macOS 12.3 onward, and will no longer be preinstalled on the Mac, whereas Go statically compiles into a static binary.
