Type of Enhancement

Server Backend

Describe the Feature/Enhancement

It would be nice to have book-wise stats. Simple stats like, how many users listened to it and how many times it was listened to (available to all users). There could be a togglable setting to allow admins to see which users listened to the books as well.

Currently, the only status of the book available is a pillbox that says "Finished (date)" if you have finished it, but it doesn't tell if the books have been read by others.

This could be a mild substitute to ratings system, where at least people on the server can decide to listen to a book based on whether anyone else has or how many times the book has been listened to.

PS: I selected "Server Backend" as the type of enhancement, but it's for both backend and front end.

Why would this be helpful?

  • Would help admins understand which books were read and indirectly assess usage and popularity
  • Would help other users determine if they want to read the book based on the books listening stats
