Here is the description of a brief encounter with monterey. It will be used to build and run a standard Aurelia skeleton navigation sample and to keep this section short, please see installing monterey application if you want to run this mini tutorial yourself.
This screenshot below shows a brand new (never used) monterey instance.

In order to create a new project, click on the Create tab (red marker 1 on the image above)

and proceed do select the application source (red marker 1) and the destination folder (red marker 2). Click on Next button (red marker 3) to proceed to the next step of the application creation wizard, shown below (where a few intermediate steps, like registering your GitHub account and verification that the definition of the project is indeed correct, are skipped for brevity)
