Note: there is currently also a discord.js rewrite with TypeScript in pre-alpha. This shouldn't be used at the moment, instead one should use their types.

One could consider to replace Mongoose with TypeORM

I'll wait on their "next" version https://github.com/discordjs/discord.js-next which probably will have more advantages than only being rewritten in TS.
Since this will be a major change, I'll probably do a cut here and create a new repository.
