Description
It is time! WordPress Playground has a fantastic team of contributors, and we should recognise them. A WordPress Playground badge would be a good sign of gratitude. The Playground team has already approved the Designs for the badge, following the standard of the new logo, which is now rolling out in various places.
Here is an example of the new badge:
The following steps outline the criteria for obtaining a playground badge. Two initial proposals:
- All contributions are eligible: This will incentivize new contributors to get involved with the WordPress project. Any contribution to the WordPress Playground code, Playground web instance UI, Documentation, or Translation would be eligible for a badge.
- Categorized contribution: This approach will categorize the contribution as minor and major. Three minors' contributions or one major contribution will be eligible for a badge. All contributions are relevant, but we see a level of contribution to earn the badge. Minors are fixing typos in the documentation and codebase, as well as correcting code formatting. When relevant, are there any code contributions, additions to a new page in the documentation, or translations of a page into a new language?
The second item would be the time of contribution; all previous contributions will be eligible, or only new contributions will be valid to receive the WordPress playground badge.
Those are suggestions; I would appreciate your feedback.
