Maybe some kind of double check when enabling it that will ask are you sure you want to limit viewing to Premium members only?

Or something that will stop the random switching.

Just happened to the Night Nation Review channel tonight. 3 days ago it happened to the Davis Lurman channel.

This happens when I had the function not enabled in Live plugin but now I just decided to keep it visible so the users can switch it off in their live dashboard when it happens.
