VBA-RR v 23.6 SVN 480 Cheat codes can not be enabled.

VBA-RR v 23.6 SVN Up to svn 438 Cheat code was enabled.

Hi, im having problems with this version of VBA. Specifically I was playing a modified verson of pokemon crystal and the person who maid it gave the cheats for rare candes. The cheats didn't work and i tried multiple times. So i downloded the original VBA and it worked on that, so i think the Cheat fonshon dosen't work do you know how to fix that.
