Hey Guys,

I just noticed that your latest offical release 0.3.5 is over a year old. Since there has been further work on this project it would be great if a new version could be released. Otherwise distros will keep shipping outdated versions!

Kind regards,
ju6ge

I think the bigger problem is a seeming lack of an active maintainer. There are some pretty important pull requests ( @eladyn 's patches) sitting unmerged. Perhaps someone has a fork that is a bit more active, or there are alternatives to spotifyd that have gained more acceptance lately.

You're right, we really need to do a new release as soon as possible. What's currently blocking is mainly up-to-date documentation and a working CI. If someone has the resources to take on one of these tasks, that would be amazing. Otherwise - since my time is somewhat limited at the moment - I could ignore the CI stuff and just compile the binaries myself upon release.

So yeah, any help is appreciated and I can't promise anything, but the issue is on my radar.
