Opening and closing overlay breaks application (linux, i3wm)

I'm using the awakened-poe-trade-git AUR package, currently; I've already enabled floating for the overlay window, and I can use price check any number of times with no issues, but opening the main overlay and closing it results in being unable to open any overlay until I restart the application. Any ideas on how to debug this?

EDIT: I think I've narrowed down what's happening; the overlay window is failing to set its dimensions to match the game, and also failing to set itself click-through when it needs to.
