In the end I can't save (therefore can't recall) a profile.

Initial setup:
Windows 10 19041.508
i5-6500, R9-390, 16GBram. Xbox one controller w/ Msft wireless dongle.
Using Vjoy v2.1.9 as device 1, x-axis only, no buttons, no effects.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. PC powered, on desktop. Power on xbox controller.
  2. Open UCR (0.9.0-alpha1). No profiles available.
  3. click (+) to add new profile
  4. give name "f", select input as "Xbox Controller 1" (SharpDX_XInput), select output as "vJoy Stick 1" (Core_vJoyInterfaceWrap). Click "Create".
  5. "Edit f" window appears. Select "Axis Merger". Give name "g". Select Axis High "Click to bind", map to Xbox controller RT. Select Axis Low "Click to bind", map to Xbox controller LT. Select Axis Output "Click to Bind", navigate pop-up to "Axis" -> "X". Select "invert low" to TRUE. All other settings default.
6-1. I could select the "play" button and UCR works great. Everything up to this point is fine and expected.
6-2. If I instead press the "Save" button at the top left, UCR crashes.
6-3. If the program asks to save the profile before closing, it will crash when I answer in the affirmative.

Did you place UCR in a protected folder? eg Program Files ?

Please consider displaying the exception message to the user to make this less cryptic. Was suffering from the same problem and it would be better to get immediate feedback rather than coming to the GitHub page.

Thanks for making a great tool.

This solved it for me. (Moved the folder to Desktop)
