Dear SiliconLabs team, I would like to ask if I develop a new product using any of the MG24 products and Matter's SDK. Can I use Matter's logo and QR code to have the right to produce and certify it without having to pay an additional licence fee? Or do you have more information about this? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Dear Limengdu,

This channel is primarily for Arduino-related questions.
For more general topics like MG24 certification, please use the Silicon Labs Community where subject-matter experts can better assist you: https://community.silabs.com/s/?language=en_US

That said, here are some relevant trainings related to the topic:
https://www.silabs.com/support/training/matter-evaluation-to-certification
https://www.silabs.com/support/training/certifying-a-matter-device-thread-and-wi-fi

If you're using the MG24, then you're likely targeting Matter over Thread. In that case, you'll first need to obtain Thread certification, followed by Matter certification.

If you're using a module like the MGM240P (rather than an SoC), you can take advantage of certification by inheritance. However, you still need to be a member of both Thread Group and CSA (Connectivity Standards Alliance), which involves membership fees. Additionally, there are certification fees even when using inheritance.

Please double-check this answer on the Silicon Labs Community, as I am not an expert in this topic.
