Application's Information

Updating

This application provides the ability for you to check for new updates by accessing the program's Releases page. To check for new updates, provide the 'U' key from the Main Menu. When checking for new updates, PSCAT will automatically direct you to the Releases page but also provide basic information regarding the current version of the program. Such information as the following:

  • Program Name
    • Name of the application
  • Program Version
    • The current version of the application
  • Version Released Date
    • The date in which the build was officially released

This information is provided to you such that it is easier to compare the builds within Releases page.

Production Builds vs. Developmental Builds

Within the Releases page, it will contain two quality build types:

  1. Production Builds
Production Builds are intended to be stable and are more geared for the majority of users that expect the software to 'just work'.
  2. Developmental Builds
Developmental Builds are specialized builds that showcase a collection of new changes and\or potential bug fixes. However, developmental builds could be more buggy, cause potential damage, and may have experimental changes. Please use these builds at your own risk!

Installing

Installing the new update is as easy as replacing the previous installation! Because this is a stand-alone software, all you have to do is exit the current program instance - and replace the old program against the new build. The rest is done for you automatically!
