Describe the bug
Running Linux as my desktop, connecting to app.sable.moe on Firefox.
When I join a voice call, my microphone volume is always low, despite all noise suppression and audio processing being disabled in the settings. Boosting audio via software does not fix the problem, only turning the gain on my mic up incredibly high to where it peaks the mic.
When I join a voice call on Discord, the mic is appropriately loud. Mic volume is also high when joining on on Cinny. This appears to be a Sable specific issue. The listener reporting the issue is using Element on Windows.
Please let me know if more information is required.
Reproduction
- Join a call with Sable on Firefox
- Have the listener using Element on Desktop on Windows
- Observe that the your mic's call volume is significantly quieter than using Cinny or Discord
Expected behavior
The mic would be as loud as the other front-ends.
