🔁 Steps to Reproduce

I had some files ignored in gitignore, but some of them are not kept in .rooignore. Let's say planning files. They are ignored using gitignore. But they are not set to ignore in .rooignore. Still i cannot mention them in roo.

Roo Code respects both .gitignore and .rooignore, but they serve different purposes. .rooignore controls which files the AI can access, while .gitignore affects version control and some file listing behaviors. For direct file or folder @mentions, Roo is designed to bypass both .gitignore and .rooignore, so you should be able to mention files even if they're ignored by .gitignore, as long as they're not in .rooignore. Git-related mentions (like @git-changes) do respect .gitignore, since they use Git commands.
