Greetings, and thanks for giving the Prison plugin a try.

We are getting close to releasing v3.2.1 which has a ton of new features, provide for significant performance improvements, and adds in a lot of new integrations with other plugins. Unfortunately, until we are ready to push out the new updates, the readme.md page on the github site is out of date and there are a lot of dead links. Hence the purpose of this note.

Support and the pre-release version of Prison is available on our discord server. See the #alpha-versions channel for a downloadable copy.

Discord: https://discord.gg/DCJ3j6r

Docs: https://github.com/PrisonTeam/Prison/blob/bleeding/docs/prison_docs_000_toc.md
Current docs include information on how to setup prison and the related 3rd party plugins, creating mines, using placeholders, protecting the world and mines with WorldGuard.

Known issue with LuckPerms v5.0.x and Prison v3.2.0
There is a known issue with LuckPerms v5.0.x crashing the server when used with Prison v3.2.0. LuckPerms v5.0.x is not supported with Prison v3.2.0. There are two solutions to this problem:

  1. Use Prison v3.2.0 and downgrade to LuckPerms v4.4.1
  2. Use the pre-release version of Prison v3.2.1 and then you can use any version of LuckPerms. It is recommended to use the pre-release version of Prison along with LuckPerms v5.0.x.

Thanks for checking out Prison, and please visit our Discord server if you have any questions.

Please note, we are trying to get to the point where we are trying to release Prison v3.3.0. There are still a few major changes and additions that need to be completed first.

But it still holds true that you should probably first reach out to our discord server and talk to us first if you are having issues or questions. We're able to address them faster there, than through issues posted on github.

I would also like to add a little more information about Pull Requests.

At this time, the main branch that is being used for development is PrisonTeam:bleeding. So if you would like to help contribute and open a pull request, please use this branch as a target so I can get your contributions incorporated in to our current development work. We greatly appreciate all of your help.

If you have questions, or would like to discuss anything, please reach out to me on our discord server.
