Programatically load / save view / data

Is it possible from a script to load / save view and data.

If not it would be nice to have this available (in API ?)

This could allow to load / save data of a long running process in localStorage and eventually retrieve it if there is a crash.

Seems it is possible to store in localStorage and retrieve the keys that where stored later

I am not sure I understand the question.

Loading data/view is already possible using src/util/versioning : Versioning.setViewJSON / Versioning.setDataJSON
Same to get the current view/data (as a JSON string): getViewJSON / getDataJSON

Are you just asking for an alias to these methods in the API ?
